Southwest Hall is being transformed into a modern, LEED-certified residence hall that preserves the original building’s historic Collegiate Gothic architecture while introducing a fully updated interior. The new three-story facility will offer 391 beds, 12 study nooks, suite-style living, and dedicated study areas equipped with monitors and whiteboards. Restored architectural details and locally sourced brick will maintain the building’s historic character, while new amenities such as interior bike storage, comfortable lounges, and a landscaped courtyard will provide students with inviting spaces for studying, socializing, and events.
